Search engine overlap

Stephen Abram posts on a study that shows that there isn't much overlap in search results between the four big search engines: Ask Jeeves, Google, Yahoo, and MSN. I admit that I usually only search Google when I'm looking for information on the Internet. For example, the other day I was helping someone look for the correspondence of a NY writer and it was only later that I thought that I should have probably checked another search engine besides Google. This was after he/we had searched various library catalogs and RLIN/WorldCat. Abram mentions Dog Pile for example. We don't currently link to a metasearch engine in our SFX drop down menu for Web Search services.
